If you are interested in hosting or attending a Local Group in your area, the following guide may help to get you started.

Attending a silent Local Group

All are welcome to attend a Silent Local Group. The group may begin with ten to twenty minutes of silence (silent meditation), 1 to 1 1/2 hours of an Eckhart Tolle audio or visual recording, ending with ten to twenty minutes of silence (silent meditation). It is best not to engage in discussion, as it tends to stimulate the mind and ego.

Please note: Eckhart Tolle and the Eckhart Teachings office are not responsible for the supervision of the Local Groups.

Hosting a Local Group

Eckhart recommends following the Silent Group format. The group may begin with ten to twenty minutes of silence (silent meditation), 1 to 1 1/2 hours of an Eckhart Tolle audio or visual recording, ending with ten to twenty minutes of silence (silent meditation). It is best not to engage in discussion, as it tends to stimulate the mind and ego.

Your group will need a location where you can comfortably listen or show the recordings. This could be in your own home, a friend's home or a room in a local community building. The necessary equipment required is: CD player and/or DVD player with a television set large enough that all the attendees can easily view the screen.

To register your group on EckhartTolle.com, please complete the online registration form. There is a $35.00 USD registration fee.

Once registered, we recommend you complete and keep your online Group Facilitator profile up to date with information you wish to provide about yourself and your Group’s meeting dates, times and location.

As a Group Facilitator, you will need to acquire one or more series of CDs, and/or DVDs from teaching sessions with Eckhart for your group to listen to and/or watch. Registered Group Facilitators receive a discount of 30% when an order is placed by phone, fax, or mail with Eckhart Teachings. Many Group Facilitators request small donations from their attendees to help cover the cost of purchasing audio/visual material for the group meetings.

Please Note: Eckhart Teachings reserves the right to remove any group listing, without notice, due to reasons such as group inactivity (group does not meet regularly), complaints received, or any other reasonable grounds. Registration fees are non-refundable and Group Facilitator/Host discounts will be discontinued.

Logging into your account.

Once you have registered your group, you can create an account with your email address and password of your choice. In your account, you will be able to create a public profile about yourself (if you wish) and about your group.

If you have difficulty logging into your account, please return to the login page and try again. Passwords are upper and lowercase sensitive and you will need to enter your password exactly as it was created when you first subscribed.

If you are still unable to login, please return to the login page. Select the “forgot password” prompt and enter your e-mail address. You will receive a new password within 5 minutes. Please return to the login page and try again. Once you are logged in you will have the option of selecting the Change Password button and creating a new password to your liking.

We sincerely ask that you do not share your password and account with anyone else. Any misuse will result in your account being suspended and removed from the website without notice and or refund. Please remember to logout when you have finished updating your account.
